We’re partnering with a leading organisation in the insurance sector to find a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Associate to join their dynamic team in Maidenhead. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a well-established company where your contributions will make a real impact.

 

About the Role

As an Accounts Receivable Associate, you will be responsible for managing key financial transactions and supporting the wider finance function. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the organisation’s accounting operations, particularly around insurance-related transactions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process insurance-related transactions including premium receipts, claims payments, loss recoveries, and reinsurance outflows.

  • Manage regular payment cycles, ensuring all disbursements are processed accurately and on time.

  • Maintain and update the vendor database, ensuring data integrity and compliance with internal policies.

  • Respond to internal and external queries related to financial transactions with professionalism and accuracy.

  • Upload financial documentation to the OnBase system for recordkeeping and audit purposes.

  • Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with accounting standards.

  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively.

  • Support the finance team with various ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

 

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable, preferably within a corporate or multinational environment.

  • Solid understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.

  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of liaising with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Confident working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other core PC applications.

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials is advantageous.

  • Previous experience in the insurance industry is desirable, though not essential.
