Key Responsibilities
Audit
- Assist with or lead audits for a broad range of SME, not-for-profit, and owner-managed clients.
- Support planning, fieldwork, and completion, depending on level.
- Prepare working papers, test controls, and ensure files meet required standards.
- Liaise with clients both on site and remotely, representing the firm professionally.
Accounts
- Prepare statutory accounts under UK GAAP/FRS 102 for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
- Support month-end and year-end processes, including journals and reconciliations.
- Prepare or assist with corporation tax computations for review.
- Produce management accounts for selected clients where required.
Team & Client Interaction
- Provide guidance to trainees (Senior role) or learn from experienced mentors (Junior role).
- Build strong working relationships with long-standing clients.
- Work collaboratively across departments, contributing to a friendly and supportive culture.
