Business Development Manager – London & South

What you’ll be doing

You will attend adviser meetings both virtually and face to face, driving new and incremental premium income from your panel of medium and large intermediaries. You’ll be expected to build strong relationships with paraplanners, administrators, and advisers, representing the business in a professional and positive manner.

You will deliver presentations across a mix of local and regional events, as well as virtual and online meetings. In addition, you’ll act as a mentor and coach to Business Development Consultants, ensuring the brand and values are represented to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities

Business Development & Commercial

  • Deliver a combination of high-volume outbound calls and face-to-face business development activity within your assigned accounts.
  • Generate new business to meet agreed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, servicing, and claims teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Represent the company at protection seminars and workshops, both in-person and virtually.
  • Work with the Distribution & Marketing Management Team to ensure the proposition is approved for business with advisers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external contacts.
  • Ensure all compliance and KPI requirements are met.

Distribution Risk

  • Work with Sales Management and Risk & Compliance teams to identify and document any risks associated with the distribution process.
  • Manage risks in line with agreed procedures.
  • Take prompt remedial action where required, ensuring reviews are completed in line with procedures.

 

Planning

  • Analyse and use MI to adopt a planned and prioritised approach to all business development activity.
