About the Role
As a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role across corporate finance, business development, and commercial project support. Working closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, technical, and operations teams, you will help shape the financial future of the business by supporting transactions, evaluating new business opportunities, and ensuring robust financial governance of capital projects.

Key Responsibilities
Corporate Finance
Business Development

Maintain financial models for new plant developments and upgrades.

Assess new commercial initiatives (e.g., private wire agreements, optimisation of waste streams) to drive additional value from existing assets.
Commercial Support

Oversee and update development and capital expenditure budgets, providing variance analysis.

Design and implement project accounting frameworks and risk assessments.

Deliver ad hoc financial analysis for strategic decision-making.

Contribute to commercial tender processes and stay abreast of industry policy and opportunity shifts.
Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

Degree qualified in Finance, Economics, or Accounting (minimum 5 years PQE).

Exceptional time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills and confidence working across all levels of the organisation.

Advanced Excel capabilities; experience with complex financial modelling.

Proven understanding of financial models for infrastructure projects.

Experience in M&A or corporate finance, ideally within the energy or infrastructure sectors.

Exposure to or knowledge of the renewables/biofuels industry is highly desirable.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to operational sites as needed.
