The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a proactive and delivery-focused Contracts Manager to take responsibility for a £1m grounds maintenance contract, currently supported by a team of 13 staff. With significant growth forecast for the new year, the portfolio is expected to almost double in size, making this a pivotal hire for the organisation.
You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure services are delivered to contract specification, and maintain strong working relationships with a demanding but valued customer. As the contract grows, you will play a key role in shaping the team, improving processes, and ensuring the highest levels of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop the existing £1m grounds maintenance contract across the Surrey area.

Lead, motivate, and support a team of 13 operational staff, ensuring work is completed safely and to specification.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively addressing issues and ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.

Monitor contract performance, budgets, resource planning, and compliance.

Support upcoming contract growth, helping to scale operations effectively.

Drive continuous improvement across service delivery and operational standards.
About You

Proven experience in contracts management within grounds maintenance or a similar FM discipline.

Strong people-management and leadership skills.

Comfortable working with demanding customers and confident in your ability to manage expectations.

Highly organised, proactive, and delivery-focused.

Able to easily access the Surrey area.

Full UK driving licence.
