We're looking for a Behavioural Scientist/ Customer Researcher to help turn evidence-based theory into practical, real-world applications—joining their Advanced Planning and Research UK (APRUK) team in shaping the future of Honda and society at large.
About the Role
As part of our Digital Innovation Research Division, you’ll explore emerging human needs, design meaningful behavioural studies, and help deliver technologies that provide real societal value.
You’ll work on a variety of projects, from literature reviews and data analysis to study design and external engagement. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for applied behavioural science, a keen analytical mind, and a desire to contribute to Honda’s mission: to be a company that society wants to exist.
Key Responsibilities in the role
- Conduct desk-based behavioural research, including literature reviews.
- Analyse and interpret large quantitative and qualitative data sets
- Design and conduct small-scale experiments and studies.
- Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to reports, presentations, and research documentation.
- Track and explore emerging trends in behavioural science and psychology.
- Engage with external partners through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
- Collaborate with other R&D teams
What they are looking for:
- Degree in Psychology, Behavioural Science, or related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proven experience applying behavioural science in a commercial or applied setting.
- Proficiency in research tools and data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python).
- Ability to synthesize complex research into actionable insights.
- Adaptable, proactive, and collaborative approach to work.
- Able to design and evaluate small-scale behavioural research studies.
Desirable:
- Links to industry or academic networks.
- Skills in data visualisation and communicating insights visually.
- Knowledge across psychology, sociology, economics, or decision science.
