Responsibilities:
- Support Onboarding: Assist the Head of BPA Transitions in successfully onboarding Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) business to our cutting-edge pricing and administration platform.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Engage with key stakeholders to understand requirements, data, processes, and systems, providing insightful recommendations.
- Data Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of defined benefit datasets, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness from both pricing and administration perspectives.
- Data Configuration: Configure data parameters and transform data received from ceding pension scheme administrators.
- Data Loading: Load data, complete control totals for audit purposes, and upload to our in-house platform for administration.
- Quality Monitoring: Monitor data quality, identify errors, and take proactive steps to rectify and prevent future issues.
- Incident Resolution: Analyse, resolve, and fix incidents and defects within agreed turnaround times, collaborating with colleagues and third-party suppliers.
- Data Fixes: Undertake data fixes that are not allowed by standard processing and input screens.
- System Enhancements: Specify and test process and system enhancements to support our BPA business.
- User Support: Provide support for the deployment and use of user desktop devices and tools within the BPA Customer Service function, offering advice and assistance to end-users.
- Minor Changes: Deliver minor change or data requests, including data fixes, workflow amendments, and application changes.
- Efficiency Improvement: Identify potential development areas and efficiencies to be gained, suggesting innovative solutions.
- Knowledge Sharing: Support team knowledge sharing and contribute to the development of others.
- Risk Analysis: Conduct risk analysis on incidents, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Regulatory Compliance: Notify the Head of BPA Transitions of any regulatory matters requiring attention.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in data analysis, transformation, and configuration.
- Experience within a Financial Services environment, preferably Life & Pensions.
- Strong understanding of defined benefit pension schemes and BPA business.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse, resolve, and fix data issues.
- Experience in system and process enhancement specification and testing.
- Proficiency in using desktop devices and tools, with the ability to provide user support.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Experience in conducting risk analysis and handling regulatory matters is a plus.
