Inventory Controller
We’re on the hunt for an Inventory Controller to join a market leading provider in Maidenhead, Berkshire. This role will play a key part in planning and forecasting print stock levels across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, (EMEA). You’ll also partner with the sales, marketing, and product teams with a heavy focus their very successful Open University Press business. Alongside traditional print, they are committed to continuing to grow our digital business.
Your day:
- You’ll be generating raw data and then manipulating this in Excel to aid forecasting and decision making.
- Will see you working with the wider teams to forecast the volumes needed whilst considering various production and delivery lead times.
- You will need to constantly review title performance against the forecast focusing on KPI’s
- Use your knowledge and interpretation of the data to ensure cost effective decision making and correct stock availability.
- Working with both internal and external customers to communicate changes (i.e. publication dates, costings, etc.).
- Answer incoming queries from our customers.
Running monthly and ad-hoc analytical reports will also be vital to ensure the Inventory Manager and the wider team are kept up to date with the progress. These reports could cover anything from sales performance versus prior month and versus forecast, excess stock reviews, Amazon-specific analytics.

What we’re looking for someone who:
- Is an intermediate user on Excel
- Has had experience with inventory or stock control previously.
