Payroll Business Partner

Signet are delighted to be supporting a large, established FMCG business with a key role within their growing business, responsible for delivering accurate and compliant payroll for circa 4,000 employees. In this role, you will combine hands-on payroll management with stakeholder partnering and process improvement and you’ll act as the organisation’s payroll specialist. They are looking for someone to join on an initial 6 month contract which will be highly likely to extend.
Key elements to the role:
- Lead weekly and monthly payrolls via an outsourced provider
- Complete payroll checks and sign-off cycles
- Ensure accurate processing of employee changes and benefits (pensions, PMI, P11Ds, statutory reporting)
- Partner with HR and Finance to provide payroll insight and support budgeting
- Drive payroll system improvements and automation initiatives
- Line-manage and develop one team member
What they are looking for:
- Strong high-volume payroll experience
- Experience with outsourced payroll and HRIS systems
- Confident stakeholder manager with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
