About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Waking Watch Specialist to join our clients growing fire safety operations team. This newly created role has been designed to support our Operations Director by taking ownership of day-to-day operational delivery, subcontractor oversight, and site auditing.
The role is pivotal in ensuring that our clients services are delivered to the highest professional standards, supporting the safe evacuation of residents in high-risk buildings and building a scalable service model for future growth.

What is Waking Watch?
Waking Watch is a fire safety measure where trained personnel patrol residential or commercial buildings, often high-rise or housing blocks, to identify early signs of fire and raise the alarm if necessary.
Acting as “human fire alarms,” Waking Watch officers are on the frontline of building safety, ensuring swift evacuation (especially for residents with personal evacuation plans) until longer-term fire safety systems are installed.
Key Responsibilities

Manage relationships with subcontracted providers delivering Waking Watch services.

Oversee deployment of site officers, ensuring coverage and compliance at all times.

Conduct regular audits on-site, checking:

Compliance with fire safety protocols

Right-to-work documentation

Correct use of PPE
-
Evacuation drill readiness and reporting standards

Ensure clear, consistent communication of evacuation procedures to mitigate risk.

Maintain accurate records and ensure all safety-critical information is shared appropriately.

Take on operational responsibilities from the Ops Director to enable business development and service line growth.
